First things first – why are you scared?

Step 1 – De-fear-ing the Pitch

Many people find pitching scary – what if people don’t want to hear what you’ve got to say? What if I get it wrong or forget what I have to say?

At Kids Bee Happy we’re extremely lucky, because the chances are you’ll be having this conversation whilst the people you are talking to are ALREADY standing watching children use the product.

So you know they already like the product, and you know that they are already interested. All you have to do is start the conversation.

As we talked about in yesterday’s blog – it’s a No-Fail conversation!

The Pitch, breaking it down – what do you cover?

People want to know 3 things?

  • What is it?
  • How do I make money from it?. Can I do it?
  • The Call to Action.

The Call To Action is the most important, yet most frequently forgotten part of the pitch – put simply, it means what do you want people to do next? This is the most important bit, because it doesn’t matter how much people love it if they don’t know what it is that you want them to do.

And this is how we cover it: Here is your Pitch!

This pitch has been structured so that you can use it whilst you bag/hook up a finished picture, whilst the child and the parents are with you.  And you’re not even going to ask them if they want to join, you’re simply asking them to do you a favour, and ?

Opener:  Did you enjoy that? Have you done Sand Art before?

Q:What is it?
We’re really busy in this area now, lots of events and parties, and we’re looking for people who could be interested in joining Kids Bee Happy and running their own Sand Art business.

Q:Can I do it and How do I make money with it?
It’s is a very easy business to run. There is lots of training and support with Kids Bee Happy, and you don’t need any experience.  And as you can see, Sand Art is very popular and works really well just about everywhere.  It’s so easy to earn an extra £100 or £200 a week.

Q:Call to Action:
Would it be OK if I give you a couple of flyers to pass onto people who you think might be interested?  All my contact details are on the flyer.  Thanks so much, I really appreciate your help.

But what about the bonus plan, and the team structure – Don’t over complicate it.

KIS (Keep it simple).
So, lets look at that again.

There is enough information in there to answer the important questions that people have, but without filling it full of detail and clutter. Its nice and simple, nothing that you wouldn’t normally say, and anything else that they want to know, they can ask you.

Its very easy, We start with a question, 3 short paragraphs to answer their questions, and end with a question.  Dead simple.

And you don’t even have to worry about remembering it, because you’re already saying all of that stuff everyday that you’re out and about with Sand Art.
